Show Ring Auction
The LDA is auctioning off one of its old 20x60 pipe rings, as used in Rings 2 and/or 3 over the past show seasons. Please see below for the complete details and rules.

minimum bid increment: $20(Reserve Price)
This is a pipe ring, built out of white PVC piping with L shaped
legs, weighted by sand. If memory serves it is about a foot high,
and the sections are approximately 6 feet long. When set up, there
are about one foot gaps between the sections, which do not connect.
The dressage letters for the ring are not included.
This ring is sold AS IS. It has seen many years of service
and is in need of refurbishing. Last year we refurbished the second
of these rings. It required pressure washing and because the rings
are set up and torn down for each show, many pieces required
re glueing (with PVC compound, the original had been assembled with
contact cement, which has dried out.) If you do not plan to move it
a lot, reglueing on a large scale may not be necessary, since the
problem for us was that during transport some legs dropped off.
Some of the loose legs may require refilling (with sand, for wind
stability.)
This is a silent ascending bid auction with a minimum increment of
$20 (twenty). Bids will be accepted until April 10 (including).
Bids will be accepted on a discussion board site at
LDA Riding Ring Auction
so everyone can see who is bidding and what the current bid is.
To submit a bid, please click on the "New Message" button, and
give your new bid and your name.
There is a reserve price of $200.
The winning bidder shall be the highest bid received by the closing
date of April 10 midnight. The discussion board site time stamps
messages, and their time stamp is what will be used.
The winning bidder is expected to arrange payment (cash or cheque)
before we will coordinate with Ted DeBoer regarding pick-up of the
ring. Pick-up will have to be at a time suitable to Ted. The ring
is located at Eastwood.
